The Carroll Chargers are a Youth Sports Organization in Carroll, Iowa that offers a variety of sports opportunities throughout the state of Iowa. Our mission is to provide outdoor, sport and recreational experiences for youth as well as people with disabilities. These activities are provided regardless of individual financial limitations and create an atmosphere for learning and enhancing self-esteem in all individuals regardless of ability. Our current offerings are Soft Helmet Flag Football, Tackle Football, 7v7 football, and Basketball.  For the most up to date information, make sure to follow our socials.  

Ben Alford is the founder of Carroll Chargers.  A Florida native, Ben played football collegiately for the University of Northern Iowa.  Upon graduation, Ben and Ashley (a Carroll native) moved to Florida where Ben became the youngest head coach for a high school football team in the state.  He and Ashley decided to move closer to family and the two settled in Carroll to raise their children.  As a firm believer in sports teaching life skills, Ben focuses on players attitude and effort rather than just winning at all costs.  Ben created the Carroll Chargers to ensure that his players had a positive, encouraging environment that included the town of Carroll and the surrounding communities.
